武汉是一座历史之城，文化之城，众多的历史建筑和街区，闪耀着武汉作为国际都市的气息和荣光。

　　从2011年第一届双年展开始，武汉优秀历史建筑展就作为核心板块，差不多以每届（两年）整理20栋历史建筑的速度一直在演进。每栋历史建筑通过原始档案资料的收集、现场踏勘、文献考证、精细三维模型复原，最后以版画的方式进行历史建筑的艺术档案呈现。

　　本次双年展的历史建筑展，以刚完成的武汉中山大道整体景观提升工程为蓝本，着重展示了武汉优秀历史街区和优秀历史建筑的互生关系，以工程图纸的艺术表达，给市民提供了一个概览全貌和细节欣赏结合的视觉体验。

　　Exhibition of Wuhan's Outstanding Historical Buildings Preface

　　Being a historical and cultural city, Wuhan has numerous historical buildings and neighborhoods, laying a strong foundation for Wuhan to become an international city.

　　Since the 1st biennale in 2011, the exhibition of Wuhan's outstanding historical buildings has been at the core of the biennale. There are 20 historical buildings exhibited almost every two years. Every historical building will be exhibited in the form of print after the original archives of the building are collected, the building is surveyed, textual research for the building is conducted, and a three-dimensional model for the building is built.

　　At this biennale, the exhibition of Wuhan's outstanding historical buildings, which was modeled on the recently landscaped Wuhan Zhongshan Avenue, has displayed the interplay between Wuhan's outstanding historical neighborhoods and buildings through engineering drawings, unfolding the outline and details of historical buildings in front of viewers and creating a distinctive visual experience for them.
